Open Mic Night at Recess— A Fundraiser!

Join us for an evening of music, poetry, performance, and community in support of Recess. Featuring artists, alumni, and friends from across our extended network, this open mic celebrates the creativity that sustains our spaces while raising critical funds for our work.

This event marks the closing night of our Spring Donor Drive (May 5–15), a campaign to raise $15,000 and welcome 30 new Sustainers who believe in resourcing artists, youth, and cultural workers directly.

A suggested donation of $15–$30 supports Recess’ mission to partner with artists, youth, writers, and their chosen publics to create transformative cultural experiences.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If you’re performing, you’re already contributing.

Donors and new Sustainers will be entered into an Assembly Art Giveaway, featuring works by artists from our community.
