To support the continued growth of our artists, Recess partners with Brand X Editions on an ongoing printmaking program. Based in Long Island City, Brand X is a premier print studio where high quality of production and specialized processes in silk screening transcend traditional techniques to create a unique images. Brand X master printers work with two Recess artists each year to develop a print from conception to production. Participating artists learn traditional and experimental printmaking and witness specialized craftsmanship. This personalized, in-depth education imparts new skills to augment Recess artists’ rigorous creative process.
