Book Launch for Kei-Seki at RECESS

For the launch of the book Kei-Seki in New York, the artist Juanli Carrion will be joined by essay contributos Jonathan T.D. Neil and International Pastimes ( Bosko Blagojevic and S.C. Squibb) to discuss the project, and the wider sociopolitical themes it brings into focus.
The reception will also feature the performance/instalation Untitled based on a script created by International Pastimes which questions the role of the image and the value of experience in contemporary art through Juanli Carrion’s work. The performance is also made in colaboration with composer, writer and performer Ryan Tracy.

Para su presentación en Nueva York el artista Juanli Carrion estará acompañado por dos de los escritores de los ensayos del libro, Jonathan T.D. Neil e International Pastimes en una conversación acerca de los diferentes temas sociopolíticos del proyecto.
Durante la presentación, también tendrá lugar la performance/instalación Untitled, basada en un guión creado por International Pastimes en el que se cuestiona el papel de la imagen y el valor de la experiencia en el arte contemporáneo a través del trabajo de Juanli Carrión. La performance está hecha en colaboración con el compositor, escritor y performer Ryan Tracy.
