To ring in the holiday season, Recess has teamed up with
Juanli Carrión: Building the Neverending Ruin of The World
Beginning in November 2011 and continuing through January 2012, Recess will collaborate with Abrons Art Center in New York and the Artium museum in Vitoria, Spain to realize Juanli Carrión's On the Never Ending Ruin of the World. This project uses a Google algorithm that searches the contemporary digital landscape for “ruins.” The Google search is performed from two distinct global positions, in three languages. Carrión then maps these sites and creates a visual representation of the points of interest.

A preview of Pavilion December 1-4, 2011 For NADA Miami Beach 2011, John Miserendino will present a preview of Pavilion, a durational performance at Recess in SoHo, set to begin January 2012.
