Recess's May 18th Benefit auction will feature work by Terence Koh, Deville Cohen, Galeria Perdida, Rachel Rossin, Liz Magic Laser, Becca Albee, Rita Ackermann & Harmony Korine, A.K. Burns & Katherine Hubbard, Rob Fischer, Simone Leigh,  Dustin Yellin, Bruce High Quality Foundation, Scott Keightley, Eva Zuckerman, Joe Kay, Carmelle Safdie, Sophy Naess, and Christine Sun Kim as well as bags by Marc Jacobs, a signed John Currin monograph, five nights in a 4-bedroom home in Breckenridge, and two VIP tickets with backstage access at the heavy metal event of the year.

Jeff Williams: Worn Thin

On  April 13, 2011, Jeff Williams will begin two months of work at Recess as part of its signature program, Session.  Over the course of Worn Thin, Williams will develop a series of sculptures, photographs, and videos along with a stratum of accumulated site-specific experiments. Various materials relating to the exterior architecture and interior dwelling will undergo a series of processes that slowly wear down these structures.
