Faked/Out features a series of writing workshops, guest speakers, and film screenings that will contextualize fake news within a significant, cross-disciplinary tradition of fakeness and will create opportunities for visitors to alternately interrogate and experiment with the practice of faking it in their own lives. Event Description: Filmmaker, activist, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Media Study at University at Buffalo, SUNY, Paige Sarlin will converse about the origins of the interview, how it has changed over time, and why it has always been a problem.
Access Information: The entrance to Recess is up four steps. During all events and public hours, you may request ramp access using the buzzer to the left of the door. The bathroom is all-gender and ADA approved with three grab bars. We will do our best to accommodate requests for ASL interpretation or captioning.
