Faked/Out features a series of writing workshops, guest speakers, and film screenings that will contextualize fake news within a significant, cross-disciplinary tradition of fakeness and will create opportunities for visitors to alternately interrogate and experiment with the practice of faking it in their own lives. Event Description: Come enjoy afternoon screenings of Buffalo, NY cable access programs and other video agitations made by Tony Conrad and colleagues in the early 1990s. Expect works by the 8mm News Collective, who used their own video cameras to document the reporting of local TV news crews, as well as episodes from the series Studio of the Streets. Fighting the media can be fun. Courtesy of the Estate of Tony Conrad and Greene Naftali, New York
